My Dear Younger Brother
DELPHI, Greece, 1st Spiritual World - Land of Mountains
The Oracle at Delphi was famous in its day, and everyone from rulers to common people to entire cities would come to the priestess with offers for her prophecies, which were usually cryptic (to avoid dependency and arrogance). The remains of the site still stand in Greece today.
Pythia (or oracle of Delphi) was the high priestess of Apollo (God of the Sun) who held court at Pytho, the sanctuary of the Delphinians. She used to live and prophesize there.
She was a witch/healer/psychic so great, that all the other high priestesses of the Delphic Oracle that came after, took her name.
This is why they are remembered by historians as Pythias.
After the Romans captured Delphi in the early 2nd century BCE, it was frequently pillaged (meaning - robbed with violence).
The Roman emperor Theodosius I silenced the oracle by destroying the temple and most of the statues and works of art in the name of Christianity. The site was completely destroyed by "over" zealous Christians.
Citadelle Laferrière, Haiti, "Democratic" Country
The Citadelle Laferriere is an exceptional monument and historical site in the region of the Caribbean. It stands at the top of the mountain Bonnet a L'Eveque, on the northern coast of Haiti, symbolizing the Haitian slave revolution, liberty, and independence in 1804.
